Kick Off the Holiday Season at The Fly

The Fly Arts Center will host the 27th Annual Festival of Trees this year to help Bedford County and the surrounding areas get into the holiday spirit. A holiday craft fair will kick off the festival on Saturday, November 18th. The fun begins at 10am and goes on throughout the day until 4pm. This year's theme is Christmas Movies. Admission is free.

Not only can visitors view trees decorated by community members and area groups, but will also be able to shop for gifts during the craft fair, while enjoying hot cocoa and other delicious treats. Kids of all ages can catch a special visit from Mrs. Claus for story time at 11am.

Festival of Trees is a longstanding and beloved community-centric event. The Fly considers it to be a thank you gift back to the vibrant community who passionately helps them support the arts all year round.

The Fly will offer additional tree viewing days Mondays through Thursdays from 11am to 4pm beginning on November 20 and will continue until December 21. Groups interested in visiting can schedule a special appointment by calling 931-684-8359.

Individuals and community groups are invited to submit a decorated tree for inclusion in the event. The theme of Christmas Movies is encouraged, but not mandatory. An application is available online, along with submission guidelines, at The Fly website. Submission of decorated trees is free.

Vendors for the craft fair should send inquiries to info@flyartscenter.com. The cost for vendors is $25 per space.

The festival will be held at The Fly Arts Center located at 204 South Main Street, Shelbyville, TN 37160.
