The Stone Depot Helps Add Beauty to Parking Lot in Front of The Fly Arts Center

Local area landscaping and gardening business, The Stone Depot, provided the labor and supplies to create beautiful new plant features to the newly updated parking lot in front of The Fly.
On Jun 26, 2025 staff members from Shelbyville local landscaping and garden business, The Stone Depot, volunteered their time, talent and supplies to create unique planted areas in the newly updated parking lot in front of The Fly Arts Center.
In additional to a variety of flowers and bushes, new stone pathways were placed leading up to the arts center's iconic butterfly benches. One area was even made to look like a butterfly made of our plants.
The Fly Arts Center is extremely pleased with this new addition, as it will help the historic Fly building look its best. As a result, The Fly is looking for five local artists to breathe new life into each of our butterfly benches with creative painted designs.
