About the Event

Rod Cleveland is a 1986 graduate of Shelbyville Central High, where he played football and baseball for all four years. Rod grew up watching his grandfather, Vannoy Streeter, create works of art with wire clothes hangers. “I took pieces of his art work to school for show and tell, but never imagined I would be able to create my own wire sculptures when I was older. He challenged me a few years before he passed away, telling me if I wanted another piece of his art, I would have to make it myself.” About three years after Vannoy passed, Rod created his first piece. “I was very lucky to have such an incredible man  to be such a large and important part of my life.”
